A Tairen force of 37,500 infantry and 12,500 cavalry sailed across the bay of Romara in the early hours of yesturday morning. However the Mayener winged Guard and a consort of levies were ready to attempt to repell them.
The Mayener force consisted of 10,000 levies and 15,000 Mayener winged guards. They set up a basic defensive line at the top of the beach. As the Tairen force landed the Mayeners unleased wave after wave of bolts. However the heavy armour of the Tairen infantry meant that few casualties were sustained. The Tairen infantry force of 18,750 heavy pikemen and 18,750 crossbowmen then lined up along the beach and proceeded to move up it. Their armour and shields meant that only minimum casualties were sustained and the pikemen negated the chance of a charge from the winged guards. When they reached the top of the beach the Mayener force attempted to hold them, however the better equiped Tairen force was able to route 3 places in the Mayener line after a half hour of fighting. The rest of the Mayener force proceeded to make a fighting withdraw all the way back to the city.
The Tairens set up a defensive circle around the city, blocking all movements into and from the city. However with only a small force to guard the Tairen border will they be able to continue their siege of attrition?
Overall: Tairen losses: 700 infantry Mayener losses: 1,500 Levies and 500 Winged guards.
