A Columbian patrol consisting of 35 light cavalry and 65 light infantry have been scouring the Columbian plains trying to eradicate bands of bandits that have been tormenting the area.
They have determined and tracked down the one group that had been causing the troubles. Their orders are to attack at night and leave no-one alive. They set their ambush for the 23 bandits who are camping in a small outcrop of trees on the plains 2 days north of the Andoran border.
The 65 light infantrymen line up to the south while the cavalry create a semi circle cutting off any of the escape options. The Infantry stalk up until they are 50 yards away, then they charge. The bandits guards sound the alarm and a few seconds later the Columbian troops are in the camp. They block and attack, block and attack. They have numbers and the element of surprise. 1 bandit manages to mount his horse and ride into the waiting cavalry who promtly cut him down.
A resounding win for the Columbians. They sustained no loses, whilst managing to inflict maximum casualties. They gather the bandits equipment and horses and then make their own camp for the night.
2 days later 2 riders ride through the main gates of Rovar trailing behind them 23 horses and enough kit for 23 light cavalry.
